Eriogonum nudum - Ella Nelson's Yellow

Creating a showy cloud of electrifying yellow pom-poms, this delightful Naked Buckwheat found by Eric Nelson was named to honor his grandmother, a life-long gardener. A must have for pollinators. It is easy to grow, long blooming and drought tolerant! Massive 3’ high and 2’ wide sprays of blooms explode in spring and continue throughout summer above low, 6” tall and 8-10” wide foliage. In fall, blooms become rich rusty reds and a golden umber. Commonly found in open, rocky exposures, it thrives in full sun with good drainage. Excellent when massed! Bonus points for being deer resistant!
